Plain language training

We provide tailored plain language training to both improve confidence as a business writer and to ensure your document is presented as intended. The IMPARTS™ Plain Language training course is a full-day seminar in a workshop environment focused on the seven principles of clear communication. Participants will learn how to enhance their business writing skills by improving their ability to think about their document strategically and based on those decisions, then enhance all aspects of the document.

About the founder Roslyn Abela

Roslyn Abela (BA Communications, Western Sydney University) founded Communication Pursuit in 2012.

Roslyn is a professional Communications Consultant with years of experience using and implementing plain language techniques. She has a strong track record working in communications management roles that includes planning, writing, editing, and training. She has proven experience in commercial and not-for-profit sectors such as financial services, insurance, manufacturing, aged care, health care, telecommunications and education.

Roslyn is a member of the Australian Society for Technical Communication (ASTC), the Plain Language Committee with Standards Australia, and represents PLAIN and Australia as a member of the international plain language Certification Committee that supports the International Plain Language Federation (IPLF) who are developing the international standard in plain language.
